EXHIBIT ASSETS ARE OFTEN RETURNED IN DIFFERENT CRATES... HOW DO WE GET AROUND THIS?
Currently we “pack” the exhibit digitally when we enter it into the system. Then the system generates a preliminary Packing List based on the inventory. The Technicians can adjust the packing before it goes to a show, then again when they check it in after the show. Currently that requires that they edit the Exhibit in Inventory. We’re planning to have a direct link from the Packing List very soon, and probably in the Technician App in the future. The Packing List module is still a work-in-progress, but will be fully developed very soon.
HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY EACH GRAPHIC (PICTURE, GRID PDF, ETC)?
Each graphic can be stored with a main image (JPG, PDF,PNG) and a Grid (PDF, Word). Your graphics can have any naming conventions, and the system will also generate it’s own unique identifier for each graphic. Graphics can only be entered into the system associated with an Exhibit or an Accessory. People have asked what to do with odd graphics that don’t go with an Exhibit or Accessory. If it can be used all by itself, no problem, just enter it as an Accessory. If you want to keep the information handy until you have an exhibit or accessory to associate it with, you can store it in Inventory as a Document.
